Monthly Morning Tea - May 16, 2004
We will have a tea gathering on May 16, 2004 Sunday Morning at Century
Palace Restaurant. Welcome to join us.
The gathering will start at 10:00 AM. The restaurant locates at 398 Ferrier St,
Markham ON Steeles East / Warden West. The cost is $7 per adult. Please don't
forget to forward this message to other alumni
and bring them in together. No reservation necessary.
Career Development Forum - May or June, 2004
We are planning to host our second annual Career Development Forum soon. We will invite several
keynote speakers to talk abour their success stories and their suggestions for the
new comers. The participants are from major industries, financial institutions and
government organizations in Canada. No matter you are currently having a
great job while looking for alternate opportunities, or you want to exchange your career
ideas with others, or you just want to chat with new friends, this is the great event you don't want
to miss. As organizers at SYSU Toronto, we put together our time and resources to make this
happen and believe it would benefit our alumni. Prior reservation is strictly required.

SYSU 80th Anniversary Celebration - November, 2004
We will organize a delegation to join the grand celebration of SYSU's 80th anniversary.
Please contact Tuen Yui Wong at (905)277-5683 if you want to join the team. So far, around
10 alumni and family registered. The flight tickets should be much cheaper if you are going back
with the delegation.

Jeffrey Chi on TV
Jeffrey Chi (Chi & Shen, Certified General Accountants) has done an interview with OMNI2 TV regarding
home office and various tax issues. This program will be broadcasted on Saturday (April 24) 6-7 pm.

Apple Wen (Ms. Wen Hongwei), SYSU Chinese Literature 1989 graduate, recently opened two Guardian
Pharmacy Stores: one at Markham near Pacific Mall, another one at Shepperd/Brimley Oriental Centre. She
is happy to provide great discounts to our alumni. For senior alumni, she is willing to deliver

2004 Membership Fee
The 2004 membership fee ($10/member/year) is due now. Please show your support of our alumni organization
and pay the annual membership fee. The membership fee is important to support our on-going expenses. With our
transparent management, you will be very clear on where we are spending and who are contributing. You

Member vs. Non-member Registered Alumni
We welcome all Zhongshan related students, professors and former staffs to join us. People whoever registered online or through paper form became our Non-member Registered Alumni. The registered alumni became our Member after paying annual membership fee and information being verified by our membership committee. If a member failed to pay annual membership fee in two consecutive years, his/her membership status will be changed back to non-member alumni.
